NBC The Voice just tweeted this great picture of Team Leader and Coach, Blake Shelton along with his partner-in-crime, one of my personal favourites, the great Michael Buble.

Michael will be assisting Team Blake in coaching the singers and I cannot wait to see the chemistry between these two fine singers and their teammates. This will be one fun ride!

Additionally, Mary J.Blige will assist Team Adam Levine, Rob Thomas will assist Team Cee Lo Green and Billie Joe Armstrong, the lead singer of Green Day, will assist Team Christina Aguilera.

But, that’s not all. Monday’s show marks the unveiling of The Voice’s new feature, the Judges’ Steal, where any judge has the opportunity to steal an eliminated artist from another judge’s team.

Tonight’s show is going to be gangbusters!! The Battle Rounds are always intense and this season, in particular, we have got ourselves a battle.

There are so many phenomenal singers being discovered that it is extremely hard to pick favourites. And the styles are so varied, so unique. It is going to be interesting to see how this all plays out in the end.

Here is the intense promo video below. Can’t wait to hear your comments.

  1. Hi Again…where is everyone! I am enjoying reading all of your comments, O brotherkarl where art thou…I can’t keep up with you guys if your not posting…skipping classes, huh?

I am not watching anything reality so far this year, I have caught a couple x-factors, I like a couple of the girls on there but don’t know any names…but haven’t watched for a while, are they at the judges houses yet?

I am however enjoying Glee…not so much the story line but the singing is amazing!!!

  2. Everyone has disappeared, Vonnie! Just busy with real life, I guess. I can sympathize. It has been a very busy fall season – lots of activity.

And, yes, the singers are off to the judges’ homes this week on The X Factor. Should be fun.

  3. Hello MCL and Vonnie,
I hope you are both well. The battle rounds were off to a good start last night. I liked that all four teams compete each night instead of just two as in previous years. I’m generally supportive of the steal so that one coach can’t hoard good singers and then dump them in the battle rounds and if a mistake is actually made (I’m skeptical that Ceelo’s pairing was a mistake) there is a way to correct it. The down side is that they have added the awkwardness of Idol’s Judge’s save by mentioning to the judges that the looser is available for the steal after each battle. The institution of the steal also makes the judges opinions about which singer was better in a battle a little suspect.

I really enjoyed the last battle of the night. The guy really impressed during the blind auditions but Laura (?) didn’t make a great song choice. I think she is the best of the former backing vocalist that we have seen on the Voice and is the more “ready for prime time” of the two. Having said that, Ceelo probably made the best choice considering where the guy (?) is in his career arch and considering who has won the last two years.

I’m looking forward to the cute little gapped toothed girl (her words) with two toned hair who did a good version of Britney’s “Toxic” in the blind auditions. Her arrangement was said to be original but it is very much like an arrangement dune by Emily Anne Reed who auditioned for Idol several years ago as well as AGT this year.

I got to see Bonnie Raitt at the Concert Hall here in town Sunday night and she was supurb!

  6. I’m very disapointed with that Vonnie. I think we may be seeing why they retained Randy. They may be back down to three before the live shows begin.

Are you watching DWTS this season? It’s been good so far and last night was great.

  7. Hey Gene…I watched DWTS last night for the first time!!! Nothing like joining in on a show on double elimination night, Lol I will try and watch it next week!

Yeah! Not sure with idol if Nikki and Mariah really don’t like each other and the sparks are really flying or if this is part of the production to gain viewers who likes a good cat fight!
