Jazzlyn Little Brings Down The House On The X Factor

On Thursday evening, 16-year-old Jazzlyn Little drew a standing ovation from three of the judges plus a hearty accolade from fourth judge Simon for her riveting performance of Mary J. Blige’s song, “I’m Going Down“.

Well, I am sure that she is not going down anywhere soon because this talented and determined little spitfire showed us what it takes to win this show.

I have watched this video, featured below, many times and the disconnect between this young lady’s off stage and on stage persona is absolutely unbelievable.

She takes her music so seriously and seems earnest in her desire to not disappoint herself or her loved ones.

What a find! What a treasure! Were you excited over Jazzlyn’s performance? Do you think she will win The X Factor?

  1. i thought she was great! but as far as winning, there is so much to go, it is just too soon to say how it’ll all work out. we haven’t seen everyone. i wonder what ‘boot camp’ is? and the mentoring…does the mentoring happen during boot camp? i know how mentoring worked on ‘the voice’, seems like they’ll need a lot of help in mentoring what seems like a lot of people.

i love that that is her given name, there must be music in the family…

  3. I just saw Rachel Crow on YouTube. What a little darling!! I remain a bit uneasy about allowing people that young into the competition (Rachel is 13) but she seems very centered. I hope she will have fun at Boot Camp & not get too caught up in the insanity. That goes for Jazzlyn too.

  4. it is so early in the competition and so many great singers have been advanced. We musn’t forget Melanie Amaro -she was amazing. Plus that young girl who did her own arrangement of Justin Bieber’s “Baby” song. The list is endless and, strangely enough, it is the girls I remember. Except for Brennin and Josh. Both are extremely talented.

  5. Well, Simon did say a girl would win… there are several young ladies (as Rosanne mentions) that will probably be there at the end. I have no idea how this show will go or how the voting method will be.

Jazzlyn’s Dad was so cute when he said, “I picked out her name.” I think we may be hearing more about this young lady!
