Jason Castro: “Let’s Just Fall In Love Again”

Let's Just Fall In Love Again @ Yahoo! Video Want to hear Jason Castro’s new single “Let’s Just Fall In Love Again?”    Well, I guarantee that you will not be disappointed – the song is young, fresh, playful and chock full of all the wonderful elements that we have come to know and love about Jason Castro.

Jason is real; he is fully sincere and genuine as a performer and as a person. In this quirky industry called the music business, this is extremely rare and graciously welcome.

This song emphasizes the Jason that we came to know and love through his adventure on American Idol.  There never was – nor will there ever be – another contestant like Jason.   His self- effacing comments throughout the show and the casual manner in which he connected with his mentors and peers greatly endeared him to his growing legion of fans.

I love his new single so very much. It is an extremely commercial recording and I expect it to do very well. The video is a blast and captures the essence of Jason so well.  His voice sounds wonderful and, although it is not a technically secure instrument, the expressiveness of his vocal instrument and performing demeanor transcends the incidental technical flaws.

  1. Thank you so much, MCL… we love Jason and have since Daydream… It is so gratifying to see him make such an impact and I cannot wait for his full cd. I’ve heard the songs at the Texas State Fair and they are even better than the single which I love. I can’t wait for you to hear them and weigh in on how you feel. Thanks again… Becky

  5. This song emphasizes the Jason that we came to know and love through his adventure on American Idol. There never was – nor will there ever be – another contestant like Jason.

I believe this to be true. Jason’s persona was a first for Idol. Anyone to follow will not have the same impact.

How wonderful that his dreams are coming true. I love his sound and hope he has a huge success with his CD. Then, he’ll have to be invited to appear on the show!

CONGRATULATIONS ROSEANNE! Indeed life is good with your new Grandbaby here! Best wishes for your family.

He is a refreshing change from all the other artists nowadays and he has grown so much vocally from American Idol. He is my all time favorite Idol Loser. Thanks.

  8. Hey, everyone, I just thought I’d drop in and say hi. It’s been a while! Jason’s new song is terrific. I downloaded it as soon as I heard it!

Also, Kris Allen has his first post-Idol single “Live Like We’re Dying” out, which is terrific as well. He really surprised me, I have to admit. The song is very contemporary and has an extraordinarily addictive quality to it!

Also, David Archuleta’s new “Christmas” album is out! We have all come to expect much from David, and I certainly am not disappointed!

Oh, and I heard a snippet of Adam’s “Time for Miracles” song, which sounds really epic and amazing as well. I can’t wait to hear ALL of it!

Believe it or not, people, we’re only really about THREE months away from the new season of Idol! Time has flown faster than I expected it would, and I can’t complain about that! Anyway, have a great day, everyone!

  9. I am so glad that you looked favorably upon Jason’s new single, video and upcoming CD. I was wondering if you’d had the chance to listen to my favorite song, “If I were you, I’d fall for me.” It’s such a throwback from the 50’s (reminds me of some of the old Ricky Nelson songs). As a Jason fan, I’m so excited about his new music…I just wish the CD was out already. I had a thought about the CD coming out in January – I wonder if we’ll see Jason at the beginning of the new season on Idol? I’ve also heard his brother Michael has auditioned again and may still be in the running for the final 24. Could be interesting!

I am waiting for his album with excitement and I know his hard work will be worth it at the end! Very proud of everything he has accomplished and it is true there will never be anyone as amazing as Jason again in AI! and I am also loving “If I were you, I’d fall for me” – just beautiful!

  11. Roseanne, many (elsewhere) are making note of the fact that Jason’s voice is so much better since he’s taken voice lessons. How wonderful that he listened to your advice!

He is gaining confidence and doing so much better in his interviews. What a lovely voice! I can’t wait until his CD is released in time for Valentine’s Day. If he is successful, I do see him returning to the Idol stage!

  12. Thank you, MCL, for your review of Jason’s single. I’ve heard a couple of his new songs in addition to this one, and I have a feeling that Jason just may be my favorite Idol yet, post-Idol. I really love how he has stayed so true to himself. No pretensions. No songs that don’t “fit” who he is. No overproduction. I also agree with others that his voice has improved and so have his interview skills. But he’s still the same sweet, quirky and fun Jason we knew on American Idol. I’m really excited to see him in person next month!!
