On this Independence Day, let us celebrate one of the greatest talents to emerge from the 20th Century – Michael Jackson.

I have tears in my eyes when I watch young Michael – all that natural talent and now a music legend.

R.I.P. Michael.

Update: Check out this great YouTube.Com tribute clip of Michael Jackson’s legendary “Moonwalk”.

MCL – I’m hoping you might review two singers on America’s Got Talent: the Latina woman who performed opera and the African-American gentleman who sang Old Man River.

Well, anyone you’d like to review! The Texas Trio?

Well, I swore that I was not going to get drawn into the media’s “Drama”! However, I did watch bits and pieces of the Memorial Service. It was much as I expected a Media Frenzy.

I watched the videos of Michael’s 80′s years (My stomping ground) and the memories of those songs, Wow! Did it ever take me back!!!

While watching though, the saddness of his life flooded me. We have only heard the negatives of him for so long…Media! As people spoke of the Humanitarian Michael; why didn’t we hear of that all these years. He did so much for other people; and the world did nothing for him in return, except ridicule him. I would be the first one to say that I would be just as guilty as anyone else, getting caught up in all the negatives. How sad! Hindsight is always better than foresight…I wish I had looked for the Michael that loved this world and the people in it.

Looks like the video is gone now…

Ah well, I have seen if often the last week or so.

    Michael was amazing!

Agree that we were never shown the humanitarian-side of MJ. I mean it is in the Guiness Book of WR so it was out there. The press, however, often chooses to slant things and in Michael’s case “freaky” and “odd” are more attention grabbing than “generous humanitarian”….

And his kids loved him >> his being a “loving father” was so evident in his daughter’s heart breaking good-bye to her “Daddy”.
