Thank you, MCL for the review of Jason's songs. I believe there is a vocal coach on the buses. I hope he/she will gives the Idols some advice! I like your advice, MCL.

Does anyone know if there have been any changes made from the beginning of the tour to now?

Delivered by Janey79 and ArchieFanDoc

Uploaded by suttygal

Performed by David Archuleta

Apologize http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4RwGig0_e8&feature=user

Both Janey and ArchieFan were extremely excited about this and all of David's performances in Minneapolis. So, I am anxious to watch and be treated to this great live Archuleta performance.

And , my oh my, the crowd is extremely hysterical for their Archie, aren't they? I. Love. It.

And, as always, the emotional delivery of this song is so perfect. He internalizes the emotional core of this song and it explodes through his vocal power and delivery, making willing captives of his adoring fans in the audience.

And the video captures the animation in his face - all the heartfelt angst and sorrow is there for all to see.

And that "too late" section(around 2;15 mark) - where he sustains the "late" word- is brilliantly executed. his voicse just grabs the pure "eh" vowel and,as a result the soulful display of his voice when he sings that word is clear, seamless and oh so resonant.

And as he moves toward the ending of this song, I just marvel at his stage presence and effortless stage movements. This is such a meticulous, well rehearsed - yet sublimely musical performance!

Stand By Me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRbRUkOSZ9k&feature=user

Well, suttygirl, was busy during this concert. Another great video here and it captures David's dialogue with ther audience between "Apologize" and "Stand By Me".

The audience just love him soooooo much. Look at the smile on his face. He is obviously having a blast with this audience.

Now, I wonder what he has in store for us during this number? He is having the greatest time with the fans, though, so the first part of the number is spebt in a "meet and greet" of sorts. hahaha

And, I'm sorry, but I just melt when he sings the "so darling, darling section" and adds the rhythmic steps to match the rhythmn in the melodic line of these sections of the song. Gets me every time. He is just so darn musical!

And, of course, the upbeat portion of this song is as stellar as always, as he visually and aurally commands the stage with his charismatic presence.

His voice is so powerful, so secure and he is really doing everything "oh so correct" to ensure that his vocal delivery is as perfect as it can be.

Another phenomenal showcase. The Archuleta Artistry strikes again!

When you Say You Love Me (partial) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ja-XLlOl_7E&feature=user

And now, the pièce de résistance. I love the hushed intensity at the beginning of this song. He paces this song so very well, in a way that is similar to "Angels".

I still wish that microphone was a bit lower - it would prevent him from raising his head when he sings his upper notes. The head should always stay level when one sings - raising the head causes singers to add extreme pressure to the throat and, hence, the vocal cords.

David should bend his knees at this section of the song - think in a downward position when singing in a higher part of his range. And "butt-squeezing" always helps - it's failproof! Go David!

However, he still sounds fantastic - his voice is truly a gift from God, a blessing in all of our lives.

Well, as Hazelnut says, Archie seems a little tired and I have no doubt that he is. Jason sounded tired as well.

However, I think Janey's video - in two parts - has a clearer audio. I think the audio in the other video was just fuzzy and that may have been the reason that David's voice didn't sound as clear as we have come to know and appreciate.

He is as strong as ever - the hushed nuances at the beginning of this performance provides such an amazing contrast to the vitality of forte sound he expends when he sings the refrain. So much development at such a young age and with one vocal cord.

I can hear him pumping more vocal energy midway through this number - this young man trys so hard to be the very best he can be for his audience. And it seems to be working - he adds a nice twist on the word "call" and constantly looks for ways to refresh the melody line of this song.

His vocal animation continues to increase as the song moves forward and he nails every note set forth before him and more. He adds so much expressive soul and power to the lyrics and melody - extremely special.

I think the first video clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUMXzKpa_n4 and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnSkeAzRKCg&feature=related is more indicative of David's true sound at this concert. His voice sounds more resonant and focused.

Once again - an ending abundant in passion and sensitivity. The mini- run on the first syllable of the final "Angels - ascending and then descending - was stellar.

MCL, here from the Target Center is "Angels" in 2 parts. Note to gerreb, you are entirely forgiven for not being able to sit still during "Angels".

I will let you discover the ever changing nuances in this version on your own...enjoy!

Performed by Jason Castro

A not quite completeOver The Rainbow http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=VUopCU91qds

Jason sounds a little sluggish in this performance. This is the fourth consecutive day of performing, so it is understandable.

The tempo is a little slower, as well, so this inhibits his ability to breathe in an efficient manner. Also, he is dropping the ends of his phrases. Poor kid, he is exhausted.

However, he does nail that head voice portion when he sings the words "over the rainbow, hoo".

Love his soulful "Oos" and "Ahs" at the end. Very good.

Most of Crazy and Daydream http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=kopS1VrYaxw

Although his lower vocals sound less energized, his upper vocals are just excellent. Once again, he grabs the pure "eh" vowel in the word "crazy" and fully projects and resonates his voice in his vocal masque. Wonderful!

This song sounds so good now - really solid and confident. Love the pure "ah" vowel in the word "are".

Wow - that upper note "crazy" just keeps getting better and better and better. Great performance, Jason! You rock, my man!

And now, he speaks in that wonderful baritone voice that I love so much. I still think he should explore that area of his singing range - he might surprise himself.

And, as he starts "Daydream", it sounds fluid and animated. A little problem with the falsetto note on the word "way", but ala in all a superb performance.

One thing I did notice: Jason, your knees and legs look pretty stiff. Try to relax those knees a bit more - it will add more spring and bouyancy from the lower half of your body.

Also, your feet are too close - create some space between your feet and, in fact, place one foot just slightly ahead of the other.

This stance, coupled with the relaxation of your knees, will the tension in your body and encourage you to breath more effectively from the diaphragm.

Oh well, 50 seconds is better than nothing, right? And, as Hazelnut said, it is indeed another strong and resonant Archuleta performance of this number.

He sounds superlative as always and his upper notes are beautifully focused and pure. And I love the vocal turn on the word "time", another example of the Archuleta Artistry.
