Produced by Grammy-nominated producer Mike Mangini (Joss Stone, Run DMC, The Jonas Brothers), Coming Back to You was recorded with a team of live musicians in Nashville and New York City.

The first single, “It’s Your Love” will be released to radio in October.

When I hear people talking with them, sometimes they sound ‘wrong’ … kind of a lisp. I’m hearing that from Gina in her singing.

I felt really at odds this week with the judges … I enjoyed showcases that they thought were horrible or lukewarm! I feel like I’m either too easy to please, or I need to get my hearing tested! LOL!

I feel overall the singers (except for Melinda, Lakisha and Jordin) don’t really think about the words that they are singing. They might need to read the lyrics over more and really let them sink in. It is only then that they will go from being simply a singer to an artist. I was disappointed in Chris for the first time, I can’t believe what he did with “Endless Love” and I didn’t feel as a young artist he really had any appreciation for Diana Ross –which isn’t wise in my opinion.

I found toward the end, the sound was less resonant than in previous weeks. Fatigue, nerves etc. can cause this and it is understandable given the circumstances.

She was using a ‘mix’ of chest and head, which has a chest-voice quality, to sing the power notes.
