As for Fantasia, I was blown away by her performance last week. And now that the Tony’s are allowing people to be nominated for shows that had opened on Broadway before the current year I think Fantasia might have a shot at being nominated. Her acting leaves a little to be desired but you can’t deny the passion behind that voice. I also thought it was very interesting that Fantasia has been doing some vocal work because she was annunciating a lot more clearly during her Broadway song. She’ll have to continue doing that to be able to tell her story on the stage.
